So, after the first couple trips to the range with my new STI Ranger II I noticed the rear sight seemed a little far to the right. I blew it of because the weapon was hitting in the spot I aimed for. I went again a couple weeks ago and now the rear sight is starting to protrude bast the right side or the slide. So, do I need a tool to adjust this sight, or if I loosen the set screw on top and use a wood dowel and tap it back will that work. I would like to adjust it at the range to sight it back in. i guess the set screw was not tight enough from the factory.

You might want to add some loctite to the screw and re-tighten it. That or tighten it with an impact gun, or maybe TIG weld it. ;) lol

LOL! I was going to use some blue loctite when i get the site back in the correct spot, but what should I use to adjust the site?

No, see the air chisel or sawzall is for removal only. The impact hammer is what you would use to "tap" it to the side. lol ;) j/k

It may be loose enough to move by hand if you loosen the set screw. It is already loose enough for recoil to move it.

Or you could just shoot the other direction until it moves back.
