Can I use a load for a 125g bullet for a 124 g bullet

Hey.

I have some Hornady 124 g XTP Jacketed HP, but the only load in my manual is for 125 g JHP.

Can I use this load data?

Agreed....is the bearing surface similar in both bullets???

It was a generic bullet load data. I'm just going to get a hornady manual at some point. I don't have a load for the powder I have anyways.

Just start at the base, even the max has a little bit of fudge factor in it. We've loaded some .204 Ruger past the max and it's not showing signs of overpressure, yet.

Actually if you weigh your bullets not all of them are exactly the same as the box states, don't misunderstand what I mean all the bullets in the box will be the same weight. I have only seen this with cast but I use data that matches the printed weight rather then worrying about the true weight.
