I figured with crazy pricing people were laying off for a while.

Let me know what it looks like, should be a descent gauge of where the market is at.

Just got a call from a buddy. He said the line was all the way to the corner. Doesn't look like its dying down just yet. I'll be headed that way a little later this morning.

    Was afraid of that.

Not sure what folks are thinking they will be able to buy.

I went today. The line around the building was for anyone needing to purchase tickets there. If you purchase your ticket online there was a much shorter line so I bought mine on my phone while waiting in the short line.

As for the prices, some were only slightly higher than normal but most were still ridiculous. For example, I was looking to maybe pick up some extra mags for my xd-m 45 ($29.95 from Springfield). I saw one dealer had a few for $35 but most I saw were $70-$90. Magazines for a Mossberg .22 I own (again, around $30 from the mfg) were $100. No thanks, I'll pass.

I bought a 10/22 takedown with a stainless barrel this week from Cabela's for $329. Only one I saw at the show was $599.

Still enough fools out there with money to burn, I guess.

I went today and they was really busy, traffic was bad, lines long and the prices were not too bad since people were buying a lot of guns and supplies. Even AR's. Salespeople were very busy writing up forms for back ground checks for gun purchases. There were so many booths that they filled up both sides for the gun show. Wish I had more money. They even discounted the prices on some sales.

Dang Jim, that's a lot of great info! Do you only go to the DFW area shows, or do you travel across the state? If the latter, are you planning to attend the Premier show in SA next month (23-24 March)? If so, let us know as we usually meet up for breakfast beforehand...

    Cheers! M2
