below is the link to type in your zip and find the closest and cheapet one near ya

http://gunbroker.com/User/DealerNetwork.asp

these links proved info, location, price, etc

That's a great list. Problem is it's not accurate. I chose the shop I wanted to use for my FFL transfer based on distance from that list. But when I actually contacted the shop, their price for a ffl transfer was double what gunbroker said it would be. You still need to call them and find out for sure what they charge. My shop said their price had been that high for over two years.

Yes, that "finder" on GB cannot be trusted at all.

I tried to find one near me and found the same thing. Many had much higher fees. Some never got back with me at all and one had all sorts of restrictions on pick-up times and another only dealt with CHL holders.

Not accurate...and not worth it.

Try all the gunstores. Pasadena Gun Center only charged me 25 bucks last time and it went very easy.

I think it's a good "starter" list. Meaning don't go by what the price on gunbroker says it is. But it gives you a large collection of phone numbers and addresses in your locale, that aren't always listed in the phone book. I recommend calling a few of the numbers and verifying their prices. You may find someone who does FFL transfers who's closer to you than your local shop for the same fee. May even make a new friend that way.

SOG Armory has turned into a ridiculous place.
I tried and tried to get them to do a transfer but they never would communicate with my seller and drove me away.
They obviously never wanted to do it in the first place.

I used Phil Bratton here > http://www.geeksfirearms.com/contact/contact.htm after a recommendation here on the forum.

Located in Greatwood the price was $20 and Phil is a very nice guy!

It seems to me that FFL transfer fees have jumped up across the board at about 75% of the shops I've called.

long point pawn. 9881 long point. 713-465-7702. only $20

Im glad to see they have lowered their price.
i sat thru a renewal class with the old man (owner) I asked about transfer costs and he said $30-35, I dont rememberwhich, I told him i paid $20, period. that's a fair price.
did I mention he failed the shooting part of the test

thanks for posting this. i have a 19 being shipped out today from glockworld, and the only FFL place they had on file charged $40 for the transfer (republic arms). calling now to switch to lpp for $20 --- "cash".
