Lol this was pretty dang funny.

I just finished looking at his stuff. I think he's probably serious. You've got the hoodie guy. He's probably using what he considers the contrast. (This guy in hoodie rich suburban neighborhood. But white)
The next logical step for a leftist, would be a white guy in suburban settings. Armed to the teeth. After all someone needs to be chasing the guy in the hoodie. And also with stuff that supposedly doesn't belong.

Actually, challenging him was the way for him to validate his intentions. He's got a right to his own politics, but when he comes onto a forum that he KNOWS is going to be opposed to that, he needs to be prepared to deal w/it. Rather than get all butt-hurt, he should have shrugged it off, defended himself and then moved on.

Lemme see........I walked into your restaurant after having just kicked the shit outta your dog that was outside........I KNOW it was your dog - but now I expect you to wait on me without any regard to my prior actions.

    Yeah....that's gonna end well.

Perhaps i'm delirious, and am not thinking clearly, but I do believe the thread went a bit out of hand. I don't know if he would or would not have done anything against gun ownership with the pictures, even though he is a democrat, but I wouldn't attack the guys other work and make fun of him.

I saw his hoodie pics and understand that they may symbolize some Trayvon reference, but meh. He didn't do some outright attack on guns with those either, it's rather open ended. Seeing his other pics, I doubt he'd use some pictures of gun owners with guns to heavily push a political agenda. It seems a bit beneath his other artwork to be that direct, but that's just my opinion.

If anything, I assume it'd have been a more open ended choose-how-you-feel thing rather than a direct on attack on gun owners and the 2A. But never mind that, as it's besides my point. If you see some hidden motive, then yes, i would encourage that it be brought to the attention of everyone else. I think the posting of the likes on his Facebook is/was enough to detract people from volunteering.

It's not that I don't think there's a possibility of this backfiring on gun owners if anyone volunteered, it's just the excessive attacking of his other work that rubbed me the wrong way.

I'm no saint, but hey. *shrug*

You're young, so I'm gonna give you a pass on that one.

Anyone who can support Obama is not right. Seriously. Don't trust them for anything.

    Actually, I have to agree.

Maybe the OP is a follower of the MSM and saw an opportunity to educate himself about normal people that own guns. Lord knows the MSM portrays us all as nuts.

I didn't see anything about him hating the 2A or guns, but I also don't FB so it could be there.

Continue with the witch hunt if necessary.

You sound young and naive when you make comments like that, Jakashh. Nothing good could have come of this. Remember when Alcede gave Piers Morgan the benefit of the doubt and then was surprised that they made guns look bad? Granted, Alcede is an idiot and nearly as bad as Morgan but the point remains. You can't trust Obama supporters to not push their agenda.

    Just my 2 cents:

My wife falls squarely on the left. She's also an artist and a photographer (no longer by trade, she had to grow up....JK). I get (read: have) to hang out with these folks quite often. While I do sometimes become the centerpiece of conversation, we usually all keep our inflammatory opinions to ourselves, mine included. One thing I do notice, they actually REALLY like the visualization of firearms and the provocativeness of them in art, photography or otherwise. For example:

    C613E914-AFDB-4E4C-8DEE-B3F5F6AEC143-10093-000007CA1D12D3A2_zpsd5a5e584.gif

Not only did my Democrat wife (as evident by that piss poor trigger discipline...) pose for this photo, she planned it. The photographer, also a raging Obama supporter, uses it as a sample, very often. I get MANY requests for guns to be used in photos. My MO is to meet at my private range and let the whole entourage have some fun with reactive targets, long range shooting and some run-and-gun stuff. I've certainly swayed a few opinions once they see how un-scary firearms can be. While I may not be bringing the left any closer to the smart side, I can at least reverse their opinions of firearms and take one more voice out of the gun-grabbers pocket.

All that being said, without knowing the OP, I wouldn't take part. I have no idea how he's planning to use the photos. Unlike this one, where I fully approve my likeness and firearms being used:

I don't have any issue with your harassment. I find it hilarious.

I've never been given any reason to trust a liberals intentions. This one hasn't given any reason to trust his.

To go and let him say "stand like this and hold your gun like this" the. Let him photograph it is asking for trouble.

If he wants pictures of suburban hi owners they are easy to get. But they won't be the pictures he is looking for because no one would be able to tell them from anyone else who work for a living and take care of themselves.

I didn't say we should all trust him, I said we shouldn't drag his other pictures in here and attack it and take it that far lol.

Everything else I wrote was my personal opinion on whether or not I thought he was going to try something.

You shut up with your politeness.

But really, the guy likes Michael Moore. That's the only indication needed to know that he's not good people.

I don't like the OP's tone. He sounds too business like. This is a laid back forum-you've gotta blend in with your surroundings. He woulda been better off to have posted on here a little and show us he can hang and then mention something in a new thread like "Hey guys, Im a photographer and looking to do some urban photos of people with guns in front of nice houses. Anyone game? I'll give you your own prints from the shoot."

The only thing I wouldn't have allowed is a pic of me holding my guns in front of MY house. But it sounds like the idea he was going for was to show that Americans are ready to stand for their gun rights, and not just country hillbillies have guns.

There's plenty of pics posted on the internet of regular people with guns. Plenty of them are scarier looking than someone in front of a house. I'm not saying I would get in on a photoshoot with this guy-his approach is way off.
