Is the only country left that has any balls. They might be socialist weirdos that rather build big fireworks for their "GLORIOUS INFALLIBLE LEADER KIM JONG-IL" than feed their own starving people, but ... they've basically shown that the West is nothing more than a bunch of nanny states that are scared of their own shadows.

    N. Korea is priming something big... especially as that weirdo leader of theirs gets older and older. He's not going to go out quietly.

The U.N. will pass a resolution denouncing their missile tests.
They will call for more resolutions and sanctions against them.

You'd think people would learn from history. Somewhere, Neville Chamberlain is smiling...

    Yep.

The problem for them is that China is slowly distancing itself from North Korea. Once the Red Curtain is pulled, N. Korea will be like a bleeding calf in the midst of a pack of starving wolves.

    N. Korea might have nukes, but in the modern age of combat I can't see them lasting much more than one year, especially with the South Koreans being a large part of the combined push. Hearts and minds are alot easier to win when the people look the same, call the same place home, and speak your language.

Speaking of hearts and minds, My buddy is a Marine DM. He has a phrase I would like to quote here "My mission is to win hearts and minds. Two in the heart one in the mind." I like his thinking and, it could just work with North Korea.

Wonder how heavy the Japanese will lean on the US to act. If I were them, I'd push hard. Then again the Japanese are fierce in their actions but they are a self defense force. But they don't like missiles being fired off over the Sea of Japan. I don't blame them. There is always someone buzzing their coast.

I also wonder how S.Korea factors in.

In my humble opinion the larger worry is China, just a guess but China may be using Korea as a dumb cousin shifting the view away from China's military build up using the American consumer dollars to do so. If all goes as planned in our current administration we need to practice using the Chinese language we will need it.

I've heard this before and I think there's some weight to it. Money talks and China has a grip on it.

Any way you slice it, the US is currently squeezed from all sides.

This one is getting twisted up like a pretzel. The Chicoms are the defacto protectors of Captain K & his band of rogues, but they are rapidly tiring of the theatrics and the Russians getting nervous. At the same time, the Chicoms are holding the largest slug of our debt that is out there, so they have an implicit stake in the future of the United States, hence the lecturing about our budget issues. Bottom line there is the Chicoms don't want to get paid back a trillio dollars witha currency that has been devalued by 50%. But, they still are holding that debt, which ties them to us in a strange, almost macabre way...

It's a temporary thing their thinking is quite different then ours in truth I believe they put country before money while our folks in power do not, if we quickly don't wean ourselves from the Chinese tit we will pay dearly.

LMFAO...obviously the N. Koreans could care less what the UN has to say....

    huh, N. Korea and I have something in common. . . . . I wasn't expecting that one.

    N. Korea is a country with a tiny economy compared to the US and most of its allies. If it weren't propped up by other countries, this tiny country wouldn't be worth the 5th page.
