Hurrah for rap music.
When is the last time George Strait or Kenny Chesney shot up a night club?
Just sayin'.
Maybe if they had some real talent as musicians, the suspects would not have resorted to spraying customers with bullets.
Enjoy prison....morons.
ok, shooting someone outside of a bar is not the smartest move... but the line "where do you want it?" prior to shooting someone in the face makes me giggle.Country singer Billy Joe Shaver's shooting of a man outside a Texas bar on Saturday was an unprovoked act of violence, according to witnesses. The victim Billy B. Coker, 50, and the witnesses both claim Shaver, 67, shot him in the face after verbally abusing him outside the Papa Joe's Texas Saloon in Lorena. A witness claims in her affidavit that she heard Shaver demanded Coker "Tell me you are sorry", and saying, "Nobody tells me to shut up."
Coker says he had spoke to Shaver for an hour inside the bar where the pair discovered the musician's wife Wanda Lynn was the widow of Coker's cousin.
Coker alleges Shaver demanded the men step outside and said, "Where do you want it?" before shooting him in the cheek.
Earlier this week, Shaver's lawyer Joseph A. Turner claimed his client acted in self-defense when he was approached by a "drunk and aggressive stranger holding a knife" as he left the bar.
Turner admits he is surprised to hear none of the witness accounts mention Coker's alleged knife, saying, "Clearly the witnesses did not see the whole thing if they didn't see the knife."
Shaver has been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and unlawfully carrying a handgun on the premises of a business with a license to sell alcohol for on-premises consumption and released on $50,000 bond.
edit for pro-tip: When someone asks "where do you want it?" The correct answer is "FOOT!"
Or how about 30 years in the future?

what? lol Rap music caused the shooting just as much and country music causes imbreding. That also goes along the lines of someone saying it was the guns fault not the shooters......and so many pro gun people wonder why others can't see past their own close minded anti gun ways.
Pot, Kettle, Black.
I know I'm going to start a war here. I don't think that rap music causes violence, and I don't believe the above post did either. The above post simply pointed out that these particular rapsters didn't have any talent.
I just think it doesn't help that such a large portion of rap songs are racist, degrade women, and/or glorify violence.
If it isn't a cause, it certainly is a symptom.
Rap and Music are mutually exclusive terms.
The problem is in left wing Travis County, these two morons will probably get 10 years probation. They were undoubtedly "misunderstood".
The two brothers are members of the street gang LG All Stars.
Where else can you deal crack and get arrested, have 7 other arrests before your 19th birthday and be out on bond from robbing a person at an ATM a few night previous, then pull a gun on a trio of uniformed police officers...and be called a misguided youth?
D is right take it easy on the kids It's the Man's fault. And Austin is not the only place this can happen Burt it is very popular in LA
