Would like to find some info on the El Paso area. Where to get ammo, reload supplies and where can you shoot Class III ? Heard about somewhere in Santa Teresa NM, but no one can give me specific directions. Any help is appreciated.

Given the current supply situation, buy supplies almost anywhere you find 'em - they're not easy to come by! I'm sitting on 20k pistol primers, with another 15k on order since March. Needless to say, everyone is after me to sell 'em "a few". Those that are into reloading understand when I say "no" - those that don't aren't really friends.

A lot of the 'net sites are declining to accept any more backorders. I've been TOLD that they're starting to catch up, but don't see it yet. See lots of folks paying rediculous prices on primers at the various auction sites! Fortunately, I remembered what it was like when Clinton was in office, and stocked up before it got too crazy.

What's wierd is that even the bullets are hard to get - I've got 15k hard cast of various calibers on order from Mastercast, and after 60 days, they're finally fixin' to ship about 8k of 'em to me. They say they're so backed up it ain't even funny - they said it'll be another coupla months before they can get to my 380's I've ordered!

I hear ya. I'm not out of everything yet, I just don't want to get to that point. I just don't have a clue on where to buy supplies in El Paso yet. I am new here, from Phoenix. I need mostly small pistol primers and powder. I am lucky that I have more once fired brass then most people can imagine. ( probably over 100k )

As far as bullets for handguns, I like Precision Delta. FMJ at about the same cost as cast. You just have to order 2K to get free shipping.

    ummmm......9 mm, ain't it?<g,d&rlh>

Yuup,, it's a 9mm. Not a "REAL" gun ,but it is a fun toy. I know it aint no .50 cal. , but with the cost of ammo these days.......Can't beat it ! I've got larger firepower, if needed. Hell, I can hardly afford to feed IT , much less anything LARGER. With the Beta mag, it has pretty good firepower.

Wish I could afford an Barret 82A , but not for a while. If I gotta go big, my 4" S&W 500 will have to do.

Heh - sorry, couldn't resist ribbin' ya! Hear you on the ammo costs - I reload, and just the supplies add up quick! I only go up ta 44 mag, but it'll git the job done. My preference is one of the 45's!

Is's all good ! Yeah, I like a .45 too, just found it way cheaper to plink with .9mm. I have several .45's, my favorite is the Springfeild TRP Operator. If it ever gets back to "normal" with ammo and supply prices, I will start to shoot different guns again. I won't hold my breath !

If you are close to El Paso and want to shoot, let me know. I am almost ALWAYS up for shooting.

Not much difference in cost when ya reload, long as you kin find the goodies!

I suppose, but when shooting full auto a couple a hundred rounds go REAL fast. Since I only have 1- Dillon 650, for now, it is just easier to keep the 9mm dies in.

Once we get better settled in over here and I can find some supplies, I am sure I will start shooting more .40, .45, .223, etc
