Detail stripped my Commander that is. Installed a short GI trigger to replace the plasticky Colt medium thing they had on there. I forgot what a real treat it is to get an S80 back together :banghead: ....so, I didn't. I installed the frame slot blank instead and removed the firing pin block and spring from the slide. My defense will be, "Your honor, you try reassembling an S80 with one hand"

Anyhow, it test functions fine. Hopefully some goof won't demand a live test through the night. I'm looking forward to working on my trigger squeeze this coming shoot. It feels good in hand. Navyguy, I bet I can get a right straight back pull with my trigger finger now

That will help a lot in keeping left or right wandering shots on target. Are you going to shoot that bad boy in the competition?

I'm an alternate. I didn't fully commit to shoot because I don't think I could shoot that well. Tim is on though. He'll be using my gun. The 25yd distance is what he's concerned about shooting his MP9C.

25 yards for me is very difficult no matter what gun I shoot. :( The x ring looks like the size of a pea at that distance, and I don't own a true target gun in center fire. I'm pretty sure I'm going to shoot my Sig P226 which has fixed combat sights. I wonder if the rules would allow one to shoot different guns at the different dtistances. If so, I think I'd shoot my SA 1911 at the 25 yard target.

Yeah, right now I'm wondering how and why we don't have a fullsize 1911 in the house. Oversight!

My eyes aren't as good as they were in my early to mid 20s. I'm going by "just cover the target" more and more

Here's the Colt with the new trigger

You have to think of the 25yards in another way - like it's just 8 Honda Accords long, or 12 Mini Coopers long or an 18 wheeler long.
Now none of that works for me cause I'm blind past 6 Ft, but it may work for y'all! LOL!!!!

That trigger work will help a lot.
The trigger on one of my 44's needs a lighter spring but cash has been an issue lately but hopefully after this month the cash issue will improve.

Hey Navy you recall the thread where you all talked me down after finding the XD45 I wanted? Well just signed a new gas lease and bonus monies are forthcoming, guess what I'm buying?? He,he!!! :p
