what is the best 7.62x39 ammo you have used. Also what is the worst you have used. I need to buy new ammo due to having several cases of ammo stolen over memorial day weekend and need to know what functions well and not terribly corrosive or dirty. thanks

country boy you sound angry with my question. I am asking because I had several cases of ammo stolen 12 of 7.62x39 and 11 of .223. i have not bought any ammo in over fifteen years so i was trying to find what is good and what is inferior. also I have to replce it to get all my money from the insurance company. but thanks for the reply

Nope not angry at all, now looking at my post I apologize if I seemed angry. Im just saying as far as steel cased 7.62x39 goes Ive bought all kinds but, because I own surplus rifles ak-47,sks etc. My concern isnt about ammo being dirtier than others. I clean regardless. I dont know what the difference is from brown bear, wolf, golden tiger. I mainly buy whatever I can get corrosive or not. I'd go with wolf if I had a choice.

Most commercial stuff is going to be very similar. I had an SKS a few years back and used Monarch/Brown Bear from Academy with good results. I cannot really comment on accuracy because that was never the point of the rifle, but I never had any real feeding problems that I couldn't blame on something else not functioning correctly.
