It doesn't matter anyway. All that she had to do was go through the process without saying anything truly outrageous (by east coast standards) and she's confirmed.

Hah. Both sides were looking at history and the meaning of the Second Amendment? Liar! The dissenting side looked away from history and the true and obvious meaning.

Cornyn: Judge Sotomayor, what is your position on the Second Amendment?

    Sotomayor: I like ice cream.

Cornyn: Your honor, do you believe that states have the right to disregard the Second Amendment?

Sotomayor: Michael Jackson could dance really well.

Cornyn: One last question, your Honor. What did you mean when you stated that a latina woman with your rich heritage could make better judicial decisions than a white male?

Sotomayor: And this little piggy said WEE WEE WEE all the way.

Cornyn: Thank you, your Honor. This has been most enlightening.

Double Action said in a nutshell what I have been trying to say, when I said she tap dances.

She skirted every controversial issue, brilliant, or brilliantly coached?

I don't think the republicans totally gave in. They did ask the questions but they didn't follow up too well.

I would think that a sitting Federal Judge, seeking a spot for life in the Supreme Court would have enough personal pride to visit a beautician and have hair fixed so it doesn't look like she'd been wallowing in a wrestling ring. And wear either a lady's suit or attractive dress. But then democrats had none electing that kenyan, so that perhaps explains their lack of same.
