I was pleased to pick up 4 lbs of gun powder today at the Greenville Gun Show. I was getting low on powder and this was a real surprise and the price was super reasonable. This guy had a little bit of everything and even had a good assortment of bullets. There were no primers to be had today but I can get those at Mickey's Ammo Depot in Caddo Mills. The only thing I still have trouble getting a hold of is brass....especially 357 mag. Things seem to be looking up just a little! :p

I've been noticing more places having reloading supplies in stock the past few weeks.
Maybe there's a light at the end of the tunnel.

I was in AR a month ago and a LGS there had everything in stock and at normal prices. I showed my appreciation with my wallet accordingly.

I have seen almost everything locally also but spread out among different stores and at varying prices.

I was in Academy last week and noticed most hunting ammunition was available. I think the only restrictions are on .22 LR and 9mm.

Awesome. I'm on a quest to buy Twinkies and powder at the same store.

Wal-Mart? You must be in the country, because in the big city Wal-Mart doesn't sell such things.

I judge availability by checking my online sources. Lately, out of stock items will come in and they'll be suck up in record time. SOME components are actually making it to the shippers so I place a back order and wait until some comes in.

Thanks for the the heads-up. For those who can remember certain specialty items that gained a cult following back in the day, I thought I bought enough nickeled, small-primer .308 match brass back in the 1980s to last me forever. I was wrong. Since Lapua is generally acknowledged to be the best rifle brass extant for common competition chamberings, it's great to hear that someone has it on sale.

Just got this email from Natchez:

"The item DU40648 you requested an alert for on 02/12/2013 is in stock and available at the time this email was sent."

I gave up on this jug of powder and bought a couple one lb cans several Months ago. Though some powders are hard to find, It seems that most items are available from somebody. I see a ton of primers every time I go to Cabelas.

I hope components are making a comeback too.
I've only been somewhat inconvenienced so far.
For instance I was shopping for an 8 lb. jug of Universal Clays. None found, then tried 20/28, nope.
Found an 8 lb. jug of Longshot.
The same sort of problem looking for 8 lb. Winchester 296 or H-110, found an 8lb. 300MP. I kind of
    wanted to try that anyway.
Locally primers have not been a problem for me, all I use is Win. 209.
