I ordered a couple of cans on August 29th, and have not received my paperwork.

Typically, how long does it take a dealer to prepare and send the paperwork to you so it can be forwarded to the ATF for processing?

Did you buy it online, from a dealer not around you? If so, they have to do a dealer to dealer transfer (form 3, will take at least a month, probably longer), then you have to do the form 4 with your dealer.

I bought the cans online from a dealer, with their office 10 minutes from my house (Templar Tactical - The Woodlands). They told me they'd have the forms ready and mailed to me by end of week (that was Sept 6, 2013) so I could mail them to the ATF along with my check.

I've since emailed and tried calling and all I get is crickets. No response.

I did a search on the web and found them on the internet and noticed they were close by. I called and talked to a guy named Cody, and he was very helpful. I ended up looking at the "Buckler" for my a Ruger 10/22 and the direct thread Nemesis for my AR15.

I'm starting to get really pissed at their shitty customer service. How hard can it be to return an email or a phone call? That's no way to run a business.

I've had my own small telecom business for 10 years now - and the first rule is to always return my client's phone calls or emails no later than end of business - THAT DAY!

Maybe go there in person and get the forms yourself - they take all of ten minutes to fill them out. They also have a facebook page, I'm sure a slightly negative comment could get you a faster response (publicity works wonders!).

    You're absolutely correct.

About 30 minutes after my post, I got a phone call from Cody and a few minutes later an email from their office.

Most companies that fill out the forms for you don't send you the forms for you to mail out unless its being transferred as an individual.

Well, I'm a noob to NFA, which basically means I'm stupid.

I thought they would send me a form 4 which I would (i) sign as the Trustee of the trust, (ii) attach a copy of the trust with all notarized signatures, including Citizenship aka Compliance Cert., and (iii) include a check made out to the BATFE, send it off and then wait.

    Am I misinterpreting something?

On suppressors the transferee doesn't have to sign the form , it's just sbr, sbs, aow, mg, and dd that transferee's have to sign the form.

There is no certificate of citizenship for a business entity. You do have to either cut a check for $200 or pay an extra $200 they e-file.
