    Hey shooters,

Texas Multigun is holding a 3-gun match this Saturday, September 21. Setup starts at 8:00 am, signup at 9:00 am, hammer down 10:00.The approximate round count is 100 rifle, 70 pistol, 30 birdshot. The match will retain a freestyle format allowing shooters to choose which guns to use on each stage, within safety protocols.

If you do not have a shotgun, no worries, there is a 2-gun rifle/handgun division.

The match is at Best of the West.

    Hope to see you there!

This is a match I've wanted to attend for awhile, unfortunately bills won't pay themselves.

Good luck to all who attend!

Sweet. Car is finally paid off, got the head gasket so it's not pouring coolant on the ground at a horrific rate (Yeah, I kept driving it. What's gonna happen? Overheat it and blow the head gasket? :p), so I should make this one!

If thats all I need, suppose I could do without. Hmmm....maybe I should shoot a 3 gun match. I'd be slow. But I'm slow at IDPA and that doesn't stop me!

Everybody starts slow. Some of us stay there...

Other than a holster, some kind of shotgun shell carrier helps a lot. I've rarely had to reload pistol (20 round magazines) and almost never on the rifle (48) at one of these matches. I'll bring some extra shell carriers, look me up, ask to squad with me.

Come hell or high water, I'll be there. Shot the TX LE MultiGun Championship last weekend, and it was pretty obvious that I need more practice before Fallen Brethren next month!

Do it man. If nothing else matches are great for giving you trigger practice under pressure/adrenaline which helps you stay that much more under control in a true life or death situation.

Bah. The match is cancelled. The email said due to rain, but basically the range conditions are unsafe, plus the owners usually take some time to re-grade, clear the roads, etc, after this much rain. My estimate (based on Hydromet) is about 3", but could have been more. A station south of Bertram reported 5"!

Keep your eyes open, may reschedule for next Saturday if the range is free.

As for equipment, rifle (typically AR15) a couple magazines for it (more is ok), handgun (typically 9mm, could be anything), and 40 rounds worth of magazines (more is good). Shotgun is optional right now. Holster on your belt for pistol is required (must cover trigger), but magazines may be carried in pockets. Mag holders are better, but if you do not have them, do not let that stop you. I recommend Blade tech, but whatever you like. Of course, safety gear like eye and ear protection, water, snacks.

    Sorry,
    Lee
