    Nice!

[h=2]Texas May Sue Obama Regime For Signing U.N. Arms Treaty[/h]

    Via The Hill:
Texas attorney general Greg Abbott (R) is threatening to sue the federal government after Secretary of State John Kerry signed the U.N. arms treaty this week.

“Texas stands ready to lead the charge to have the treaty overturned in court,” Abbot said Wednesday, according to the Austin American Statesman.

“By signing this treaty, the Obama administration has attempted to subject Americans’ right to bear arms to the oversight of the United Nations,” he continued. “The very reason we fought for independence was to free ourselves from the dictates of leaders in other lands.”

A nice gesture but unless the treaty is ratified, it's just another signed piece of toilet paper sitting around...just like the Kyoto Accord. That, too, was signed (contrary to the eco-whores yelling and screaming that the U.S. didn't sign it) but never ratified. More signed toilet paper. Unfortunately, now that the UN crap treaty HAS been signed, it will be sitting there waiting for ratification for as long as there's a United States of America. Right now, it means absolutely nothing to American gun owners in terms of effect on us.

It does, though, let the communist/socialist/Marxist asswipes in Washington know that there ARE people in this country that are NOT going to go along with their attempts to turn this country into the United Socialist States of Amerika!!

Way to go Texas ! We lost the Battles of Goliad and the Alamo but won the war for Independence in 18 minutes at San Jacinto Battleground. It will take longer to win this battle against evil despots who want dictatorial power over us and push us to serfdom while lining their pockets and we pray that GOD will assist us in this effort in every manner and return to us our freedom prior to 2008 and cancel and annul any & all damage done to American Freedom since that date ! And that this battle for Freedom won with the vote of true patriotic Americans and not require stronger measures !

The real fear now is that obama will use his now dictatorial powers, (since no one will challenge him) to start moving this into regulatory action...

Whatever Obastard tries, there ARE those in the Senate that WILL oppose any kind of shenanigans he tries to pull. Even though Obastard and the rest of his drooling socialist/Marxist minions think they can run roughshod over the Constitution of the United States (given the fact that they've already done it several times), something like a treaty ratification isn't something he can just wave his pecker at and expect his sucking minions to turn to and make it happen. I think the public outcry, alone, would cause so much of a flap that even Obastard would think twice about trying to pull something out of his ass on this......

There are a few in Congress that would continue sucking Obastard on this treaty:

He can't do that, this is a full blown Treaty and must be ratified by 2/3rds of the Senate, there is nothing he can do with regulation, without Senate ratification it is DOA.
PS The President can not make Treaties on his own without the Senates approval, no one can!
There are 57 senators against that Treaty right now, 11 of which are Democrats.
