what is the man in the range rover supposed to do in that situation?

For starters do not run over the first dude. Just let them go by even if it takes some time they eventually will get around you. That dude is way fucked when a hundred of them catch up and get their fists into him and his lovely Range Rover.

I guess I am making assumptions about the part of the video where we don't know what is going on. What I was thinking is that the original biker that gets hit pulls in front of the range rover, and hits the breaks, the range rover bumps the back tire, not even hard enough to knock the rider off the bike. The man in the range rover stops, but so do all the bikers. At this point, i made the assumption that the bikers were surrounding the range rover, probably yelling and cussing at the guy in the rover, even though it was the original biker that hit the breaks and caused the bump. At that point, the driver of the rover would have probably feared for his life, or the life of his family and did what he had to do to escape the situation.

I didn't see a brake light on the bike that was hit. I did see a driver in a VERY distracting situation and the biker in front engine breaking and not paying attention. Looks like a complete accident cause by lots of things that shouldn't have been happening.

If you watch closely it appears a biker head butts the drivers window (with helmet) before the SUV takes off.

Which "first dude"? The one slowing down in front of a driver being distracted by a large number of bikers swerving all around him(stupid) or the one he hit after a biker tried to break his window.

A break check at one point would have wiped out have the riders, an armed driver could have quickly dealt with any who remained.

I hope the driver was on the phone with police during the chase.

It makes zero difference what led up to the Range Rover running over a rider. Up to that point it could have been resolved. Afterwards there is NO escape from over a hundred dudes on bikes. I have ridden in groups that large (not on a sport bike) and there is no way a car would ever get away after running one of over.

That means you don't carry enough mags;)

But seriously, if the driver avoids traffic his SUV trumps 800lb bike. They can follow until the cops show up but that's about it.

The driver still had reverse when stopped. Bikes aren't for stopping SUVs.

So after the rover bumped the biker, (regardless of who was at fault) when the other bikers begin to try to get at you, and attack you, are you supposed to just sit in your vehicle and allow them to attack? I watched the video again and it looks like one is trying to open the driver's door. I know hitting and running over one of the bikes (and maybe a biker) isn't ideal, but what else was the driver supposed to do? Maybe you're assuming the bikers would have "talked it out" and maybe i'm assuming they are a bunch of jackasses that would have beat the driver down. (I am a bit biased as I know a few people that ride their little crotch rockets like that, block traffic so they can pop their wheelies and engage in general jack ass-ery, and know them to be the type of people that will blow their fuse quickly, especially when in a group setting where they can puff out their chest to try and be a badass in front of their friends.)

From I can tell in the video we cannot see what led up to the incident. The RR should have followed procedure and stayed in his car and waited for authorities. At the point that he takes off and runs over a bike and rider he was not in danger and now has attempted murder with a vehicle. Now all one hundred dudes are going to find a way to stop him no matter what and his life is now in grave danger.

There was an incident about two years ago where a vehicle messed with some riders here in DFW. Not only did they **** up his car they shot some holes through it as well. Don't **** with riders as you never know what you'll get into.

Looks to me the bikers didn't expect what was going to happen next.

800lbs, lol most sportbikes are in the 400-500lb range

One of the riders was trying to force entry in to the vehicle. It can be seen if you look closely just before the vehicle takes off.

Also, don't **** with motorists, you never know what you might get in to.

Have been in a similar situation with only 4-5 rider trying to be punk's and blocking the entire freeway. Calmly putting AR on dash of the truck was enough politely asking them to move. After that my better half never never asked me "Why I need AR" and 20 mags any time in my truck

Curious as to how many of you ride with a group like that in the video?

His biggest mistake was getting onto surface streets in the middle of Harlem when he could have proceeded to the George Washington Bridge, jumped one of the Easy Pass toll booths at high speed with the bikes in tow. It wouldn't have been long before you had both NJ and NY state police in pursuit and waiting up ahead. Those guys love a challenge.. ;)
