In what has to be the strangest political debate in recent memory, the liberal crowd (who normally scoff at the concept of states' rights) argued that states shouldn't be forced by Federal law to accept reciprocity of CHL permits from other states. Staunch conservatives (who normally argue for states' rights) called for a Federal law to override such rights.
Gotta admit that I don't know how I feel on this one. I'm a lifetime NRA member and believe strongly in the right to carry, but I'm also strictly opposed to the Fed's increasing intrusion into the sovereignty of state and local governments.
