In order to comply with the classifieds rules, I'm starting this thread so as not to start a discussion in my own for sale thread... :p

So there doesn't seem to be much interest in the PTR. Was just curios as to why? Are they not very popular? I like them; have two and only selling one

I like ptr rifles and if I wasn't in a nfa buying fiasco right now I would buy it.

One reason people don't like them is because of the brass eating issue with the chamber.

There probably is interest . Just be patient.

+1 I think it's just not a rifle that many consider for whatever reason, but someone that knows them and is looking for one will come along and pick yours up. I have one and thinks it's great and had I had the cash for it, I would have seriously thought about buying it.

Sometimes it'll put a dent in the case from hitting the ejection port, but you can get one of those plastic port buffers for that. I have some fired brass from it somewhere... I'll try to get a picture it. You can tell it came from the PTR because you can faintly see the chamber fluting on the fired brass

    I'm interested. Just broke.
haha, yeah I have that feeling a lot...

On a rifle just shy of a grand, and it's FTF....you couldn't wait much more than a day before you start asking why it isn't sold? LOL

They're great guns. Everyone should own one. They also have the cheapest rifle mags of ANY rifle in the world.

I've had a bunch of them come through the shop...all of them worked just fine. I did keep one of the pistols (although it is far more interesting now that it has a collapsing stock).

If no one is responding, perhaps your price is a bit too close to retail for a used gun. That will usually shut down sales for all but the uber-hot guns ;)

They are good guns but .308 is too farking expensive right now.
Might explain the lack of bites.
It definitely explains why I haven't shot it very much, lol...

Current retail is around $1100, no? I bought this particular one in Dec 2008 so I'm never gonna break even on it :p

I like mine. I don't know that it's worth the added cost over what I Paid for my CETME, but you can't buy them cheap anymore either.
As for .308, it is really not that expensive when you consider .223 is like 45 cents a round.

My friend was on the fence about getting one a few years ago. Cheaper than dirt had a $1.50 magazine sale. I got him 50 magazines for a gun he'd yet to decide to purchase.

One of the most trolling moments in our friendship. Worth the $$ to see him get pushed over the fence on a $1k purchase by a few dollars of magazines.

He loves the gun. Completed an appleseed with it. Was very accurate.

hahaha, nice... The magazines are still cheap, but they've quadrupled in price over the years. They are around $4/each now instead of $1/each
