Actually, those went stupid long before Sandy Hook. It was the threat of the ATF reclassifying them as something other than sporting shotguns and the rumors of a possibility of a ban in 2011 that sent the market through the roof. I've wanted one for a while, but not at the prices they demand these days...

Isn't it truly pronounced sai-eeeeeeee-guh. I've seen non converted Saiga 12s for around $900 online and 7.62x39 models for $500. Unfortunately I think the days of $350 saigas is gone. I really like the saiga rifles, only takes a couple hours and $100 to convert them to take standard ak mags and move the FCG forward.

BTW, I speak Russian and can confirm the correct pronunciation is "sigh guh." If you use that, though, you will get strange looks and rude comments.

Armed in America in Bulverde carries them. They also do conversions in house. Around $550 bone stock for 7.62 or 5.45
