Opinions on RCBS ammomaster progressive press

I've got an opportunity to buy a progressive press press, and I was wondering if yall had any experience or opinions on it.

I googled it, and it seems people like it, but RCBS no longer produces it.

Again, it is a RCBS Ammomaster progressive press (with a couple dies and a beem scale for $350)

Is it worth it?

There's one on eBay right now that is NIB and the bids are up to $275. Your's seems like a good deal if you're talking a couple of dies sets and a good quality beam (not beem) scale.
What kind of scale is it? And what dies come with it?
RCBS will stand behind their product; great customer service and I'm sure you can find stuff there or at Midway for it.

The beam scale is hornady, but I can see a brand new dillion square deal at graf's for the same price.

I bought a second hand Dillion SDB for a steal. It's great for just pistol rounds. I still have my RCBS Rock Chucker press for rifle.

Both Dillon & RCBS have great customer service.

Personally I would buy the Dillon. IIRC the RCBS is more or less an added bunch of stuff to the Ammo Master. Ammo Master is great if you plan on doing .50 BMG.

If you're just loading pistol rounds, the Dillon SDB is okay, but if you think you may upgrade to loading rifle, the SDB is a dead-end.

I personally do not like SDBs. I had one and it was nothing but a bunch of problems painted blue. But then, there are guys that love them.

If you think that Dillon is the way to go and you might want to load rifle rounds, besides pistol, I would go with either a 550 or 650.

I was looking at a Super 1050 when a friend sold me his SDB. It was just after I got my Les Baer & shooting the hell out of it was important. Had a 650 offered up @ a great price but I was out of $$$.

I'll be talking with my better half about getting a 550. I like Hornady stuff, but the LnL is going to cost quite a bit more. The press is 400, then I'd need to buy pistol kit, and different dies. Though I'll miss getting the 1000 bullets for 70$ in shipping.

The SDB was designed to feed a NFA habit IIRC. Mine came with .45 7 .357/.38. I will be adding 9 mm to feed my H&K MP5K subsonically.
