Saw a thread about doing a trigger job on a 22/45 so I thought I'd post my experience with these...

First mod should be a MKIII hammer bushing like this one: https://www.tandemkross.com/Steel-Ruger-Mark-III-2245-Magazine-Disconnect-Bushing_p_9.html (use code RFQUALITY for 1.99 off) Also check out the Tandemkross Plus1 magazine bumpers that they offer here: https://www.tandemkross.com/2245-Plus1-Magazine-Bumpers_p_12.html Completely awesome.

Second, a Volquartsen sear found here with free shipping: Rimfire Sports & Custom: Volquartsen Ruger Mark II / III & 22/45 Target Sear

No need to buy the whole Volquartsen kit if you have a 22/45 you guys. Its a waste of money. This is why:

Do those two things and you'll have a 2lb trigger pull that is just out of this world. Add a VQ trigger for pre and over travel screw settings if you want and you're good to go.

    Edit:

Tandemkross has produced more neat parts for our 22/45's. All of them can be found here:
    http://www.tandemkross.com/Ruger-Mark-III-2245_c_12.html

I really like their mag pouches, Kanewolf Slingshot mod, and compensator.

Thanks for the links. I use my 22/45 as a suppressor host with the Pac-lite upper. Love it! While having always lived in fear of the dreaded Ruger pistol take down (actually getting it all back together), I've put off any internal mods. I will certainly check these out!

I bought the tandemkross bumpers and they don't exactly fit and they can slide off. I bought 4 and 2 work. 2 don't. So I can't say I would recommend them. To top it off- they sent me an email soon after my purchase and asked if I was satisfied. I wrote them 2 responses and haven't gotten a response.

I also have have the hi-viz sights and I love them.

I want to add 2 things - a compensator and different grips. They're mostly for looks but I like mine. I got the comp from tandemkross and it looks awesome but it made my 22 loud as shit.

I feel like I'm missing something when people complain about how hard it is to strip these pistols. Ive got a mark 2 and a 22/45 lite. Neither are hard to strip nor the other half dozen I've cleaned.

I had an ignorant month after I bought mine. I got the speed strip kit installed with the new bushing so I could keep cleaning it and my mags would fall out.
I tried to take it apart for weeks watching YouTube videos and when I finally figured it out I was so happy.

For the new guys- keep trying and keep watching videos. You need an empty mag and you need to dry fire it when the video says. Good luck.
