    Yes, I got a few thousand rounds of that from the CMP a couple of years ago. Not pretty, not particularly good for much other than it's original purpose and target practice, but it works. Had zero issues with it.

    I've had a nice quantity of it. It was made for the M1 Garand and is perfect for those rifles.

    It's a bit smokey and some has low flash suppression so there may be some fireballs for your enjoyment.

    If it is HXP, it should be good to go. Allegedly loaded to M-1 Garand specs on U.S. supplied machines.

    Personally, I flood the bore with Windex whenever I shoot surplus ammo (just in case the primers are corrosive).

    My stash of Greek M-1 ammo is safe until I exhaust the supply of Danish and Korean surplus still on-hand..

    Greek HXP is Garand safe ball ammo. It is not the most accurate, like most M-2 ball. It is service grade ammo for service grade rifles. The best part is that it is reloadable and non-corrosive.

    Be wary of the M2 Ball sold on the internet. I ordered a 300 round can of Korean surplus packed loose in an ammo can.

    The batch had different head stamps (dates), and about 80% had been de-linked from ammo belts intended for machine guns.

    After sorting through the batch, I found five different head stamps. Pulled the bullets from each lot: Some had ball powder, and others had stick powder. Even found different powders in the same head stamps of the same year. (Rifle vs. MG ammo).

    I condemned all 300 rounds, dumped the powder, popped the primers, and will re-load the cases with fresh powder and primers suitable for the M-1 Garand.

    The good news: It will be far cheaper to rehab this batch of ammo than to buy new ammo, and it surely will not be corrosive.

    M-1 and M-2 ball should all be acceptable for Garands. "Should" is relative, of course. Korean ammo might be loaded differently for MG's and rifles. I have never seen any hard data that suggest this is the case though.

    When dealing with Korean surplus -06 ammo be mindful of the headstamp. The acronyms I was taught are:

    PS = Pretty Sweet

    KA = Korrosive Ammo
