obama knows that flag is a symbol of folks that don't like him or his ideals. His cronies and minions are real adept and motivated to stick a sharp stick in the eye of their opposition any chance they get.

They're saying it is too closely related to fringe groups. I guess it's Kind of like the Hindu people giving up (for the most part) their sacred symbol for auspiciousness once the Nazis started using it.

We have a civilian-led military, but why should our ranking commanders be complicit in the administration’s war on it? Why don’t they stand up to Obama and his leftist cronies?
This demonstrates a complete lack of understanding on the part of the author. Sailors, along with the rest of the military forces, are sworn and obliged to obey any lawful order from their chain of command. If the POTUS says jump, as long as the law and constitution don't say to not jump, then they jump. Sometimes it sucks donkey balls, but that's the nature of civil democracy. On the bright side, this gives our dear leaders plenty of room to show just how stupid they are.

The Air Force prohibited morale patches a long time ago, and dictated thatt the US flag would be worn instead; and the Navy is just following suit. It's got nothing to do with Obama...

No, but I did 25 years in uniform and have worked for the DoD for another eight, so I know more about what's going on with the military than some (and apparently you)...

Sarcasm is reflected in tone of voice and inflection, not something that translates well via electrons and a computer screen. Simply saying you were being sarcastic would have sufficed, usually a smiley such as ":p" will let people know.

I am not at home now and leave home fairly often. Someday when you are awesome like me I will teach you the ways of ninja posting, young grasshopper.

Are you sure about this? Were you there when they made the decision? I am astounded by your level of certainty regarding this.

    From the DC article posted:

"When a friend of mine asked his leadership the same question, he was told, “The Jack is too closely associated with radical groups.” We must assume that this thought policeman embedded in the SEAL community is speaking of the Tea Party, whose flag (which also dates from the American Revolution) depicts a snake with the same defiant slogan as The Navy Jack."

I mean, you know what the real reasons are. Even though we have sailors and soldiers asking questions. I know guys who are current active duty who are freaked the hell out by what is happening. But you say everything is okay.

Can you verify that. I mean, it seems kind of funny you throw this around but seem so out of touch with what is really going on. Just saying.

J Lo, have you ever served? If not, why don't you go ahead and back down from trying to call out vets. If you did-get off your high horse. Nobody cares and you should know better.

    Max is spot on.

8 year NAVY Seabee vet. I still keep up with my brothers.
