My friend has a CZ75 PO1 Tactical and it's a great gun. We've sold alot of them at the store because of how well his has ran, and due to people wanting an affordable, all-metal gun.

Being is metal is what I liked about My P9C. Plus on top of that, I got a very good deal on it, and it is a compact. Any gunsmiths that you would trust to work on one if you owned on?

Not too familiar with the Houston area, you might try calling some shops and see whom they use to fix guns. I believe Pasadena Gun Center has some gunsmiths on staff, might try them.

I own a CZ-75BD. Awesome gun and I love it. I also have a CZ-52. Which is somehing I have yet to shoot.

You can try Vandenberg Customs. He is located off of Hwy 3. Here is his website Vanden Berg Custom.
You with the cz52, if you know little or nothing about the 52 check out surplusrifles forum before you shoot the thing. The firing pins break easily if you dryfire them and some pistols will fire if you use the decocker.
Check with somebody like Carters country and see who they use for repairs.

What make me love my Springfield P9C is is its compact stature, and it's caliber. All I have to do now is just get the extractor fixed. Thats why I'm looking for a gunsmith. Both suggestions are great, but am looking for someone in the North Houston area. If worse comes to worse, I'll take it to one of the places suggested. Thanks guys. Anymore thoughts?

Appreciate the warning and the info. I never dry fire any of my guns unless for some reason if I have to. Just to add, if I do dry fire them its always in a safe direction.

I do know quite a bit about the gun, like how if there are dots that means how many times they have been rebuilt. Mine has none. But, I was unaware about the firing pin breaking. I will take it to a smith and see what they have to say about it. I've had mine for 2-3 years now and have never fired it. When I go through and look at it it seems to operate just fine.

When I 1st bought my 75BD I wanted to see what kind of heck I could put it through. I bought it at Gander Mountain brand new and for an extra $20 I was given a warranty through them and some other things and then also one free cleaning anytime I wish within a year of purchase. So, I had it in my head I wouldn't clean the thing until the year was almost up. After 1,500 rounds of no cleaning, limp wristing (on purpose), and anything else imaginable that I could do to make the gun jam or fail on me. I gave it my best at being bad and it performed flawlessly.

Although I did drop it recently so I think I need to take it to the range and see if it does still fire properly.

As to CZ ownership, I have a glossy blue 75B (.40) that came with a fitted 9mm barrel. I enjoy the gun tremendously and love being able to shoot either 9mm or .40 just by swapping the barrel and the magazine. A very sweet gun, indeed!

Last November I purchased a Sarsilmaz 2000 from Academy. This is a Turkish made CZ clone (generic Armalite 24 compact). Very accurate with about 1K rounds through it.

I have a CZ 75/P-06 and it seems to be great so far. It has really stiff factory mags, but the action on the rest of the gun is top notch. I'd like a P-01 also. It is a fun gun to shoot. Not as much recoil as I thought for a .40.

My P-06 came stock with tritium night sights. I thought it was a good bonus. I've never really needed NS, but hmmmm...now I wanna go shooting at dusk just to see.
