I've always found it strange that people separate one animal from another when it comes to food, just like it's now illegal to slaughter horses in the US only because people have an emotional attachment to a few or see people riding them.

I understand not wanting to eat your own pets, but what makes a horse (or cat) different from a cow.

Bird and rodent population is F'd though. The entire ecosystem of the forest is going to be impacted.
