Just picked up a Taurus PT92. About $200 less than the Beretta, and I like the placement of the decocker/safety better.

Now I just have to do something about those grip panels.

Simmonich makes gunner grips for the beretta style pistol. Christine is one of the nicest people you'll ever meet too.

How would rate your gun to the 92FS? Do/have you owned both? My 92FS has been a good failsafe. Never had a problem with it, but I've always seen those Taurus pistols and wondered.

    I have had both.

I prefer the Taurus because of the decocker/safety location. I find it a lot easier to use. No knock on the Beretta. I just prefer the Taurus.

I guess my big question is do you have as much faith in the Taurus as the Beretta? I kick myself everyday for getting rid of my 96G and thought about replacing it with the Taurus, just dont know much about the autos from them. Taurus revolvers are O.K in my book though. Thanks!

The PT92 has been made by Taurus since the 1980's. More than any of their other models, this one should be perfected by now.

I've only had a problem with one Taurus model (I've had 12 different models over the last 20 years), that required factory service. A 44spl revolver, that I used to own, lost timing and had to be adjusted. I sold it a few years ago and regretted it shortly there after.

I am glad you like your gun - that is all that is important. EVeryone has their personal preferences (I like my Beretta 92FS). But as long as you are happy - that's all that counts.
