    Check your gun shows. There is a guy named Grumpy who sells its at all the DFW gun shows. He is a dealer and lives in the DFW area. He will ship. I've bought stuff from him and can recommend him.

    Thanks for your response. I've checked the local gun shows and have yet to see it. I'm trying to avoid buying online, shipping seems to be kinda high. It has to be sold locally somewhere.

    If you go to Ballistol's home page, I think there is a link to dealers. Put in your zipcode and you can find the closest dealer.

    Believe it or not, when you do that search you don't get any results for San Antonio proper. Here is the list I got when putting in an SA ZIP code. An enterprising individual might see this as an opportunity.

    Don't know about San Antonio but the only place I've ever seen it in Austin is at TexGuns on Manchaca Road in South Austin.

    I can't recall ever seeing it for sale at any of the gun shows here.

    I bought mine at amazon, but I have seen it on shelves and cannot remember where. Might have been a gun range in Austin.

    If you can't find the commercial product, you could always make your own. It's mostly just Mineral Oil with a few other additives.

    "Ingredients (according to a specification from December 2002)

    * pharmaceutical white oil: CAS RN 8042-47-5; Mineral oil
    * Oleic acid: CAS RN 112-80-1
    * C-5 alcohols: CAS RN 78-83-1; Isobutyl alcohol
    * CAS RN 137-32-6; 2-Methylbutyl Alcohol
    * CAS RN 100-51-6; BENZENEMETHANOL (9CI)
    * different essential oils to perfume Ballistol"

    I have no chemist skills. I called Specialized Parts Co in New Braunfels and they do have it in stock for anyone else interested.

    I miss Gibson's. Used to be one in Seguin back in the 80's. I thought Walmart had put them all out of business many years ago. Next time I'm in Kerrville, I'll check them out.

    You can buy it on Amazon.com cheaper than at gun show prices, often with free shipping.

    Get this: It was originally a German mineral oil-based gun cleaning and lubricating fluid intended for military use. Now it is sold widely throughout Europe as a skin and wound care product!

    This from the Ballistol site:

    "Neo Ballistol Oil is a home remedy, which is still a insider tip in case of many afflictions. Neo Ballistol heals, soothes, disinfects since 80 years."
