Im tired of seeing these used blue label Glocks showing up on forums asking for inflated prices. We all know these are purchased for $398 with 3 mags. i feel purchasing these and selling them at inflated prices (sometimes with only 1 or 2 mags) goes against the blue label program in which Glock offers. Ill step off my soapbox now.

Anyone who knows what a blue label Glock is... knows what a blue label Glock is. If they're willing to spend a premium on a gun they know is a rip-off, more power to the sellers for fleecing the sheep. The buyers are under no false impression of what it is they are spending money on and gladly do it anyway.

It is a bit disheartening that given the immediacy and availability of information these days, some folks still won't educate themselves before spending money.... but it IS their money.

Ok, so what is a blue label glock?
And why would someone not just remove the blue label before selling?

I guess that's what bothers me the most London, not everyone knows what a Blue Label Glock is. And, in regards to my other post, I know the Mods hate it on this site and honestly, maybe I have missed it but don't see it much here. I am on a local buy and sell gun site through Face Book and it's hilarious to see some of the prices that are being ask. Not Blue Label Glocks but most everything else. For example...highly customized AR....DPMS Sportical with BSA Scope and desert tan fore-grip. $1200 or trade for Kimber or similar 1911. LMAO. That's not exact quote or ad but really close. Those are the ones that have me sitting on my hands wanting to reply and let the unknowing understand the true worth of the item.

So the original buyer got a good deal and now he is obligated to pass it on? Most used Glocks are worth $450+ no matter what you paid for it.

I understand that many people don't like sellers abusing the system (myself included) but big deal. You can't stop it.

The big deal to me is that a few of the select people listed in Utah's post aren't buying for their own use, carrying for awhile and then selling a used Glock. The are buying using their Credentials and selling new for more than they paid. I would think that is borderline of being illegal, definitely unethical.

Interesting. I've been eligible for 4 or 5 of those but I didn't have a need, so I never availed myself of the opportunity. I didn't realize I could make a profit on them.

I've bought a few over the years. Those that I've sold went to friends or family. Haven't made a profit on a single one of 'em.

Well I don't know about all that.... There's lots of folks that get discount rates when buying firearms and then turn them to make a profit. Your LGS for one, they don't pay retail for their products but you can bet your okie556 a$$ that their customers pay at least retail price. I don't see this as any different and it happens all the time with anything you can think of vehicles, homes, jewelry, TVs, and whatever. That's how capitalism functions...

If you are buying a gun with the sole intention of reselling it for a profit I don't think there is any borderline to the illegality of it.

As far as ethical, every gun shop in the country buys guns and sells them at a higher price. I doesn't bother me too much with these because Glocks are common and anyone can find a new or used glock at a reasonable price pretty easily.

I've seen things that rank much lower on the ethics scale in the past year or so. Some of it just goes against my principles.
