An update on an old story

This is the latest on "a good kid says the father" the officer was found not guilty of wrong doing in the shooting of Nathaniel Sanders. The dash cam video from the back up unit was released and it was confirmed that Nathaniel Sanders did have a gun. The internal investigation is on going.

Of course he was a "good kid". Unfortunately he was not a "kid" any longer. He was an adult, gang member, carrying a gun while sleeping off a drug binge in a stolen car.

Just playing Devils advocate here....the mere fact that the officer says he has a gun, does not prove he has a gun....just sayin....

I know. That is what the NAACP is saying now. I think that the officer was justified, but you are right there is nothing hear to prove any thing other than the second guy getting shot because he was running right at the officer. One of the officers is on the ground at one point anyone catch why?

And the officer is still awaiting the results of the internal investigation and the family of the "good kid" he shot is planing on filing a civil suit.
This "good kid" was 18 years old, a known gang member who had been arrested a few days before this incident and sleeping in a stolen car. Just for some of the folks that may not know what this is all about.

Yes there was a gun found on or near Sanders. "The officer and Sanders were reportedly struggling to gain control of the gun and Sanders moved back in a way so that the officer could no longer reach the firearm so in fear that he might be shot he backed up and drew and fired his weapon." Is (I think this is accurate) what the DA said about the shooting on the news last night. I'm not sure of the exact words or the exact job title of the woman showing a diagram of the crime scene and giving the run down of the situation.

The bad guy with the gun was sitting in the back seat and killed by one of the first two shots. The second guy you see running towards the police was shot but wasn't killed and was unarmed.

That is why he got shot. It was the DA that I was talking about.BTW....
Anyway there was a lawyer on TV last night talking about "he was shooting while he was running away like this is the wild west" This Lawyer is a dumb ass and he also called this "the worst shooting in the history of APD" I'm gonna call on that that one right now. I'd like to take these F-ing lib lawyers and stick them in the shoes of the cops here. I'd make a pretty safe bet that they would get killed while waiting for the turds to pull their gun and show it to them and say "10 steps and turn you scoundrel" Yeah that is exactly how it happens.

Oh yes, they are obviously "acting". Police officers sit around pre-planning murders and set up the screenplay to cover their asses ahead of time.

Pretty obvious they percieved a threat (gun) and properly used deadly force against an armed man. The other guy (with the girlie scream) now knows why you do not charge at officers especially at night in East Austin.

The law suit has already been filed. The lawyer has been all over the news, making inflamatory statements that are just not true. He should be dis-barred, drawn and quartered.

I'm sure the family is upset their "little Johnny" turned out to be a turd and is now dead. I guess he just figured out how to "fix stupid". I have no great love for APD but this sure looks legit to me. The attorney should be sued for Defimation of Character. His story is flat BULL-SH!T !
