Seems like only yesterday it was February 17th when I MAILED OFF MY APPLICATION PACKET!

Oh yeah, one last jab. My WA permit expires in 4 days. Why didn't they just wait through the weekend to send this. That would have been more appropriate.

Shorts like I told ya last Saturday I was going to start calling Austin.
Well your post and good luck made me ask myself why have you not already called its been over 60days.
I called, waited, listened to crappy music and suddenly a real human voice!!!
He looked up my app # and tells me all is well and the app is in the very final faze of approval and I should be receiving word shortly that the plastic is on its way.
No BS about local back ground checks slowing things up so on and so forth.
Maybe in a week or two I can join the plastic carrying club!

All in all I am at 135 days but since the received the requested info 83 days.

Thanks guys. Yeah, start harping your Senator. I have the letter I sent mine. Yall are more than welcome to adapt it to your specifics.

I do want to give some props to Senator Jane Nelson & her office for getting to me promptly when I wrote her the letter. I also reiterated in my note to them today that I still would like to see the CHL app process streamlined. So hopefully she'll take that to office and keep pushing from that side of things. Although I finally have my plastic in hand, it isn't a reason to stop pushing for changes in the system.

I guess one question I would have for the DPS is on renewals - just why do they need your fingerprints again? I can see a new picture because your features may change as you 'age' but to my knowledge your prints do not.
