Carmike - Lufkin 30.06

I recently saw that the Carmike cinemas movie theatre in the Lufkin Mall has posted a large 30.06 sign at the ticket booth. I had never noticed it before. Unsure if this is Carmike's policy, local theatre's policy, or mall policy. They definitely just lost my business. If someone has already posted about before, I apologize for duplication. Damn, that's disappointing. I actively look for 30.06 postings in big cities but not so much out here.

Any idea who owns Carmike?

Sorry to disappoint, but I don't work at a movie theatre. I'm not sure how long it has been up. I just recently noticed it. I do everything I can to avoid that madhouse of a mall. I'm just really disappointed. I guess the citizens in Lufkin will have to rely on the unarmed mall "security officers."

Dang, guess we're screwed. I haven't posted before since I have just now come across something I felt strongly enough to sound off on. Otherwise, I tend to keep my opinions to myself.

lol ... I'm not involved or affected so I can't be disappointed in where you work, just kind of a litmus test. ;-)

I moved out here in '09 from Houston and was/am completely surprised by how few have a CHL, at least in the circles I run in. As far as your "citizens in Lufkin" comment goes, your sig line covers that.

This is just the internet so don't worry about others opinions unless you get to know them (in real life) and even then you should post your opinion freely. That's what makes for good discussion.

So rather than avoid the place and obey the law, you admittedly violate the law? A class A misdemeanor that could cause your incarceration for a year, cost you your CHL, etc.?
