Well, I like AK style rifles but I'm leaning towards the Mossberg 590A1. Purpose, home defense of course.

A couple of my...way too many...Saigas. Still need to SBR one of my 410, and maybe full auto one of the spare short gas 12's...

I've shot one. Love it. I wanna buy one. I HEARD you can get an aftermarket gas part that makes them full auto and the ATF doesnt require a tax stamp on. Can anyone confirm this?

Gas part? No. AK are a bit more complicated than that.

There are SlideFire stock variants for the Saiga that give the illusion of full auto fire, though.

I sold my 19" on to a new owner. Would not cycle cheap shells. For what I use shotties for, it didn't fill any role really, for me that is. Didn't feel like putting on aftermarket furniture and adjustable gas port and ending up with a $1000 shotty. Have other 12 ga that fill the roles I use em for instead and I'm happy happy with those. To each his own, though. Maybe repurchase one day but so many other items ahead on the must own list.

From time to time, I entertain myself with the idea of finding one in .410, and converting it to .45/70. Then I consider what a toy like that would do to a paycheck in an afternoon of shooting.

I have had one since the ban era. Mine is stamped LE only. 14" bbl w/4"breeacher (one of a kind, prototype). Mine feeds EVERYTHING flawlessly, but from what I understand this is not the norm. I paid a RIDICULOUS $450 for mine. An equivalent Tromix would probably set me back near $2K and make me wait 6 months for delivery.

If money is no object, get a high end Saiga. On a budget? Mossy 930 or Rem 11-87P
