Saw that on the news this morning. They didn't give it much time. You may just want to add that to the list of shit to stock up on.. I am suprized it took this long.

    Couple things.

The comment that some was set off without a firearm is total BS. There is nothing in the video to indicate that a firearm was not used and it sure sounds a lot like the gunshot set it off.

Second, there is very little use for tannernite in the hands of a criminal, it just wouldn't work very good and isn't a frightening thought at all unless you are an idiot.

NOT THAT I WOULD...but if I were to cause a disturbance on the boston level, I could see a use in this. I don't think your avg criminal is smart enough or has enough money to buy what you would need along with tannerite.

Thing is, there are MUCH easier ways to do that.

Years ago ... when our parents were away, my cousins and I would lay some twelve gauge shot gun shells on a log with the primers facing us. Then, we would shoot at them with our BB guns. A solid primer strike would cause quite a commotion.

The neighbors never thought about calling the law. They would just yell over the fence and tell us to knock it off.

15 minutes later, we'd line up another row of shot shells.

At 17:30 sharp, we had to sit at the dinner table, eat our food, do our homework, and get ready for bed at 8:00 p.m.

To this day, I still whack away at shotgun shells with a scoped pellet rifle. The neighbors are now so old they think they farted.

I've done that at the range with a scoped .22 and 12ga birdshot shells! It makes for a great reactive target, and you really have to be dead on to get it.
