    All the makings of a collapse and/or civil war. Especially if the state government gets serious about disarming the groups going after the cartels.

    I did like the "armed with rifles and semi-automatics" comment though under a picture of a guy with an AK and another with a wooden stock shotgun. You'd think Al-Jazeera would be better at gun ID than most news agencies :laughing:

    When I was living in San Diego a while back, I heard the federalis had to take over the entire Tijuana police force because it had become corrupt with cartel members. That was back when all the cartel wars were first starting up. So I can imagine how corrupt the rest of the police have become across Mexico-especially in your smaller towns.
