I don't know anything about that forum other than people on here referring to it. Wonder why they would do it. Is it run by just a couple of guys like this forum is...or is their forum a commercially run kinda thing?

This is the first forum i've ever actively participated in, so I am completely ignorant to how things are done across the forum landscape.

Good question, I wonder the same thing.

Somebody's opinion. BATFE should deal with alcohol, firearms, & tobacco. Not all law enforcement agencies need to stick their noses into areas other than what they are primarily charged with. There are way too many federal agencies as it is.

being an smoker makes you ineligible under federal law to posses firearms. It is a firearm forum.

I cannot imagine they would NOT have that rule.

But they don't have anything to do with the forum members actual possession of the firearm, they're just an avenue for communication. Now the forum has a right to do what they want, but seems a little nanny to me.

Im no pro pot advocate but our current situation of just not enforcing federal laws on it is untenable.

I have no problem with a lack of federal enforcement. It should be up to the states anyways.

The problem I have is how the gov will overlook pot laws and legalization in certain states yet fight tooth an nail over gun laws.

Exactly. Somewhere there's a state that adhere's to one's belief system to which they can move. If you like gun control you can move to California. If you like packing someone's fudge, you can move to California. If you like smoking pot, you can move to California. Hmmm, I'm beginning to see a pattern here.

You all are more correct than you think.
its been described in writings of people who survived the Stalin and communist years of Russia/USSR that the governement always subsidized vodka. It is part of the plan that if you are bringinf socialism, oppression, economic hardship, lines for food, etc to people; you need to keep them numbed w something. Vodka was always available and cheap.

Not too different than whats happening here. Seems like the beginning anyway.

    Dont drink the kool aid!

I'm all for legalization and state rights, still...I get why they threw them off the site. It's illegal Federally. If someone was posting about their home made suppressor Id expect the same reaction.

It's probably a bad idea for some who's breaking the law to post about it online.

It's probably a bad idea for a site used as a business to be associated with any illegality as well.

Pulling the IDs protects both the business and the posters themselves.

I agree with this. I used to be on a truck forum, the ban hammer came out if you started talking about how to punch a cat etc. I think it's more than a bad idea posting something you're doing, breaking a law, it's idiotic.
