Is the badass lever worth the money? I like the 45* throw, but I don't really need or want Ambi.
You guys that have it use, what do you think about it?
    Thanks!

I have one and I love it. I run the crank in the left side and the slim on the right side. In my opinion the perfect combo.

Yeah I was looking at the end cap for the right side, and the crank on the left, figured before I spent that kind of money on a safety I'd get some real feedback.

So why pay $70 for a safety that's functionally no different than the one you already have?

Bc I'm building this rifle for hunting and and the option of switching levers is nice, I can put the big lever on if I'll be wearing thick gloves etc etc...
I've never used one and thought I'd find out from those who have before I pulled the trigger on one

It was worth it for me times two. My first AR didn't have one, the second one came with one and I had to upgrade the first one. Installed one on the AR pistol I assembled. I really like 45° and the very positive snick going in and out. Not that big of a fan on the ambi part. I guess it's like triggers, some can live with a regular trigger, some want more.

That's exactly what I saw in my head when I read that.

Ok ive always used the mil spec safety/selector that's 90*
what makes a receiver able to use a 45* S/S or not?

its something with the "barrel" of the selector from what I understand, but I could have understood wrong. they make lowers for them, but ive seen them installed in regular lowers. from what ive seen you have to file off the CYA bump for it to fit in normal lowers.

Nope. The 90 degree throw of the regular selector is no problem, and an ambidextrous safety would actually be an impediment, as high as my grip is.
