Anyone up for a few rounds of skeet? I'm looking to find a shooting buddy for the weekends. I'm a chemical engineering senior at UT and have yet to find someone to shoot with here in Austin. Also, I plan on hunting Camp Bullis this year. My old man just retired from the pentagon and moved to Boerne, so if you know anything about that or want to go, shoot me a message. Damn this sounds like a gay personal ad

I haven't ever been to a meet D but nice try!
As far as skeet goes I used to shoot a lot at eagle peak on the weekends. It's just a a little north of Austin. I'm going to be busy this next couple of weekends but after that I'm good to go.
    O D is................ never mind.

Eagle Peak is a nice place to bust some clay although it just gets hot as all tarnation up there... Early morning trips are advised... They open at 10... Me and the lady try to be gone by noon at the latest due to heat exhaustion... Bring plenty of water because water there will cost you a buck fifty for a bottle of Dasani... as far as their throwers go the springs are really nice so they get a nice loft to them...

Gay personal ad?... Isn't that what anything and everything is going to be soon if our esteemed leader has his way turning the whole nation in to bisexual socialists with no morals... wait part of that at least has to be a waste of words...

I thought you lived in G-town Now your thing says DFW, that is a long way to drive to go to Eagle Peak. LOL! You're right bring water and lots of it, And be prepared for it to be hot in general. They do have shade tree's over in the skeet area tho so it's not that bad.

Good luck on your Bullis hunting. There are some really big whitetail bucks in there, plus there are axis deer as well.

I can't believe you are in college, especially UT, and still shoot skeet. My son was AA class shooter until he went to TCU and discovered girls & beer.

I am in Round Rock and have only been to Capitol City= no shade but everything works. They have shooting clay courses, 5 stand, trap and skeet in high low houses. After a few trips I realize I need a lesson or ten- fine on the trap but on the high/low houses I da punk. Eagle Peak is on the way to the lake out 1431. They have 7 hand cock throwers- not even close to a real skeet range like Capitol (its out off Decker Lane off 290) They have a rifle & pistol range but they do not allow FMJ
( homeowners sued and strong-armed the owner-BS sh$t but thats the way it went-silly
Way out of practice been years for me can't bust 10, can't lead worth a darn so something wrong with my setup/eyes etc. that an instructor could see- sorta hard to teach oneself I have found
