Ridge has always been "to the left of center" as a conservative. He was strangely pro-choice in abortion. He's been out of the limelight and now he writes a book????

What's the best way to sell a book? Why, bash Bush of course. How many have done this and made a mint? The list is long, and it guarantees one an interview on CNN, MSDNC, CBS, NBC.

But think back, I know it's hard for the liberals to do. The Iraq War was hot and just before the 04 election Bin Laden sends out another of his tapes from his cave threatening Armageddon. If the Bush administration ignored it and a terrorists attack happened, he would be eviscerated by the left wing press. The safe thing to do is to take it serious and gear up just in case.

How many times must we say it, he's damned if he does and damned if he doesn't. Either way he's reamed out.

In the meantime, Ridge is hailed as a national hero by the rabid left wing press.

I can see Bush pressing the talking points, team mentality, unified message thing. Not that I blame him, even a centipede has to have it together.


Ridge, like McClellen, shouldn't kiss and tell. Pretty scummy to ride the anti-Bush wave.

Bush has done his time. I did not like many of the things he did, but compared to what we have now, he is a prince. The dems are still trying to do him in. I despise democrats.

It's politics on the highest level. People don't run for office who don't have big egos and strongly held beliefs. No politician is a saint, or even close.

But I agree, I think that Ridge is taking a shot to make a buck and to try to make some little place in history. He'll get his 15 minutes on this and quickly be relegated to the footnotes of history.

I agree what you are saying but come on! Didnt he take some kind of oath? Doesnt he have any morals? Oh, wait, I know the answer to those questions. Whether its true or not, he should keep his f'ng mouth shut.

In any event, Ridge's sell out pretty much disqualifies him from service in any future Republican administration. Rats don't get picked for cabinet posts. Integrity is still a valued trait for high level Republican appointments. Can't say the same for the other major party in this country.
