Took a road trip down to Round Rock and San Antonio this weekend. I visited my sister and went out dancing. Then next day drove out to a friend's BBQ/birthday party and spent the night drinking beers, listening to music and just catching up. Sunday morning went out to Ft Sam cemetery to see grandma and grandpa.

It was a much needed trip, albeit a long drive.

Anyhow, just wanted to let yall know I received PM about holsters so I'm not ignoring you guys. Just needed a break but I'm on it

Hope everyone had a good weekend

I wish I sounded this good when I was grumpy! Sounds like your weekend was pretty packed full of friends and drink. Get a good night's sleep and I hope the week coming up is a good one

btw - my grandparents are burried in Arlington National close to The Tomb of The Unknown Soldier. I've never been there but can't wait for a road trip to see them. God bless them. Maybe we could do a Thelma and Louise trip to D.C. j/k. Kinda.

My friends made it worth it. I'm tired but so glad at the same time.

I've never been to Arlington but it is on my life's list of To Do's. I would like to see the changing of the guard in person. Those Sentinels are impeccable.

    I love Thelma and Louise

Geez, you were at Fort Sam? I live two blocks from the (now closed) back gate! Sheesh, we could have gone and had some burgers or something...

Always good to take time for yourself.
If you don't do it, no one else will do it for you!
Yes, I was concerned that I had not heard back from you yet. If I did not hear back today by days end, I was going to call and check to see if everything was all right. Was worried you sewed your fingers together - LOL!!!!
Glad to know you were out stress relieving!!!

Sounds like you had a good time. Car trips can be an adventure, unless you're doing them too often. About twice a year is good for me if it's over 3 hours.

So back at it. BTW, I need to talk to you about a holster for my CBOB. The 30th at the shoot.

lol Haven't stitch my fingers together yet :P Thanks Mo :)

Sage, this one was a quick a trip so I kinda had to keep moving. But good to know you're there. One of my friends is just off Eisenhower & Wurzbach so that's pretty darn close. We're going to plan another SA trip, maybe this fall sometime so DH can make it down as well. We can meet up. And I'm still holding Texas Solo to that CHL beer

I heard they closed gates. What's up with that?

Definitely. We usually pulled one or two good road trips a year. Got to have an adventure right?

Sounds good on the holster. We'll be out there! Tim is excited because he actually found ammo last weekend on his Saturday morning haircut trip. He goes to Sportsclips there next to Academy. He picked up some Monarch for 11.99 a box. Of course the first thing I ask him was "Uhh steel case?" He laughs and says NOoooooooo, and that was my reaction when the sales guy said 'Monarch' was all they had lol Anyway, it looks like a decent 9mm round, hopefully the wost characteristic is it's dirty. They were out of .45 though.
