To get you to attend one?

I'll go first ... I prefer to meet on the weekend. I don't like to go out at night during the work week. I prefer to shoot, eat, and/or bring my kids along.

I would go out during the week if it was close to home or if someone was in from out of town.

    DFW area.....Wylie.
It doesn't take much to get me to go, as long as it's not toooo far to drive. Weekend meetups are pretty much a must, as I'm a family man.

I prefer a shoot, then hopefully some food.

I'm fortunate, up here in DFW, we have a good group of folks that feel the same. We have a decent turnout for our meets. We shoot, then go grab a bite.

It may be hard to arrange, but here's my ideal meetup scenario:

Find some property where we can bring in a few grills and maybe a smoker or two. Set up some popup canopies for serving food, relaxing in the shade, and maybe a couple for setting up shooting benches and a place to keep the gear. Shoot in the morning while the food is cooking, take a break for lunch, shoot some more maybe afterward, pack up the weapons and then have an adult beverage or two. It would really be cool if it could be a place where we could also play paintball.

Just wishing out loud - heck, just about anything will work for me as long as it's a weekend thing.

Just keep in mind that it only takes one to put you over the legal driving limit{ and it will, for almost an hour} and that ANY detectable amount can subject your CHL to suspension.

Save the beer idea for a seperate event that involves no shooting.

    I like that scenario, too.

I apparently just need to move further north, or drive up to one of these areas when a meet is scheduled. Definately want something that I can bring my daughter to, she is range friendly, even sleeps occasionally during shooting events. Food is always great either before, after or during. Shade is also a plus.

So if you are a CHL'r, not carrying on your person, but are transporting in your car, you can get suspended?
