Seems like his approval rating either goes up or stays the same if he's on vacation and doesn't shoot off his mouth.

Not many teleprompters out there on the golf course.

You can get ready for a big plunge (ok, bigger) when Congress reconvenes and Big-O dives into the Health Care (now Health Insurance) debate all the way. Things will heat up again, Obama will make some statements about how opposing the healthcare initiative is "ideology based" and "folks wanting to live in the past", and he'll fall off the cliff of public opinion.

I read some op-ed this weekend that offered up that that Democrats would take a whipping if the elections were held today. It's been interesting to see how the Administration/White House has gotten progressively more negative as opposition has grown...

Americans seem to have ADD when they are working and times are good. If this economy doesnt turn around soon, trust me, they will not forget.

I agree that if things don't change, there wil be hell to pay, BUT, if things start to pull up, as Blacksheep points out, A.D.D. sets in and we have another four years of paradise...

It's all Fox and Liimbaugh's fault.

I'm just loving it. He though he would prance into office, pass his phony stimulus bill, his radical health care and cap and trade, all within two months and without breaking a sweat. Surpise surprise! Not all people as as stupid his dedicated flock. We just need to keep it up and get a majority into congress come 2010, then throw his ass out like we did to ol' one term, Jimmy Carter.

Good work on this thread. It was interesting re-reading it and checking the dates.

I think we are for the most part not too shot in the ass with the Anointed One. We'll take that as a given...

Looking at what I beleive to be the broader piublic opinion and views, I think the White House and Administration have not only continued to alienate the public, but increased their distance from middel of the road likely voters.

I can't really believe that the Administration is committed to being a one term wonder and doing as much damage as they can to the traditional United States before they get ousted, but it is looking more and more like they are placing far left ideological causes ahead of political survival.
