Glockster, did ya ever get the 4wheeler off the trailer? :beat:

Nope, haven't even tried but funny you should ask. Part of the construction the scrap yard has been doing was to lay rock in the pathways because they can't get around when it's wet. I'm about 10mi from the yard, got 1.5" rain yesterday and when I 1st called this morning, they didn't answer ... rut roh! lol Are they closed until it dries out?

I called just a few minutes ago and asked for the Owner, *he'll be in tomorrow* ... hmmm.

I'm the guy that brings in blown up cars for scrap, can I bring you a trailer load?

Oh no, we don't do scrap metal anymore, just pick-a-part.

Holy crap!!! Hope I'm not the proud owner of @ 2500lb of scrap metal now :banghead: :roflfunny:

BTW: Thank you, Robert, and whoever that 4th guy was that helped load the ATV and get the load all strapped down for the highway, I really appreciate the hard work.

I thought somebody was talking about it a few weeks ago.

    Lost and Found:
Found 1 .223 Remington hot round from the 1 minute madness area. I will return it the the rightful owner.
Lost - the damn pair of brand new gloves I LOANED to Ducknot so he wouldn't cut his pretty hands on the shards of the Mustang.

    Ooooooh....you wanted those back!?

    sent from wait....where am I!?

At this point I'm not overly worried. She answers the phone and runs the office but apparently is unaware of my arrangements with the owner.

We'll find out the truth tomorrow. Ohhhhh please .. please .. please! lol

So, I was calling around in swaech of gas rings for my AR and one of my calls was to my gunsmith. He asked how I managed to wear out my gas rings, and was highly unhappy with me after I told him. He was fairly certain that I ruined my barrel. So I took it by him to let him see for himself and dip my parts in his chemical bath.

Upon inspection of my upper, he seemed impressed with the minimal amount of wear and how good of shape the barrel was still in.

Also, gotta give props to my Primary Arms Micro Dot. All that vibration and it maintained accuracy all day long.

    Damn I love my rifle.

We got that barrel pretty warm and kept it warm with sustained fire for a pretty good amount of time. So he was worried about pitting and/or scoring of the barrel.

We got it hot enough that I had to take off the AFG and install a VFG. I guess that AFG laying along the quad rail was just taking in more heat than we could handle.

... at least one Victoria Cross awarded to soldiers for actions with the P.I.A.T.
    Cain.

The first time I read a narrative of what he did I was a kid and I simply couldn't comprehend it.

From a BBC documentary: "Witnesses spoke of a madman, running through a hailstorm of fire...with his trousers torn off, blood pouring from wounds in his legs, firing his PIAT at tank after tank after tank."

And that was well after he'd been fighting for the better part of a week with no re-supply, next to no sleep, having been previously wounded (temporarily blinded, once) multiple times by not just shrapnel and direct machine gun fire but also falling masonry as the Germans destroyed whatever buildings he used for cover.

He continued to fight while blood poured from the side of his head, as his ear drum (and more) had been blown out from firing the PIAT. He continued to fight while his boots filled with his own blood.

He refused to quit the field when the Germans ceased fire to allow the Brits to evacuate their wounded. Instead, he rejoined the battle when it resumed, reduced to using a 2" mortar as a direct fire weapon because that's all he had.

When the Brits finally retreated, he delayed long enough to shave so he'd look like a proper officer before his men.

It has been called "the finest Victoria Cross of the war." I believe it.

I believe it but I still can't truly comprehend it.

I knew she was deaf but not gettin blind too

    ...

Crazy has been retired from the range, and is now living nearby at another family members' house. She's been getting worse with being deaf and not being able to see so well, so she would be found more in the hotzones. They retired Crazy for her own safety as well as the fact that nobody want's to shoot a dog.

Here's who actually attended according to the TGT sign in sheet. Judy said the range list had about 5 more members signed up but frankly I was not going to spend my time comparing them. I know ... I know - OWAHTAHJERKIAM.

    I punted if I couldn't read your writing :p

I'm guessing we had a few visitors or members who didn't sign in? I know we passed out 75 coins for the drawing and that was with a few members not taking one. Good turnout
