I'm working on a bag and a tub. The tub is a big plastic locker that I can throw in the back of the truck.

I've got a lot of the things DD mentioned (need to get a few things I don't have).

    Add to that:

    Bungees
    Tarp
    Ductape
    Zip Loc Bags
    Notebook/Pens
    Blanket
    Small Hatchet/Hammer
    Water and MREs
    AM/FM/Shortwave Radio (intend to buy!)

    Considering:
    Anonymous Prepaid Cell Phone
    Motorola Walkies
    Lots of batteries
    Digital Camera
    Flare Gun

    For the Truck:
    Fix a Flat
    Tow Strap
    Jumper Cables
    Tent and necessity camping gear
    Propane/small grill
    Phone charger
    AC Power Inverter
    More Water and MREs

Of course, if I'm able to go by truck, I'll practically empty the gun safe into the bed. The absolute necessities go in the bag, in the event we have to abandon the truck.

Need that handcuff key and fire steel!!!

Hope I don't have to use it, but here in Central Iraq it could come in handy.

As an aside, at an industry meeting prior to hurricane season I posed the question of "What do you have in case of emergency?" The number 1 answer was a blank stare. The #2 answer was, "A cell phone and a Visa card."
Keep in mind most of the people participating were industrial safety professionals. It is scary how far the sheeple have fallen.
I can understand now why some people think I am paranoid.

She'll thank you in the morning
:banghead: I use it to put over my muzzle (on my rifle D) when I'm hunting and it's raining/bad weather or you have to do the Rambo low crawl. It keeps debris out of your barrel, you can shoot threw it with no adverse effects on accuracy, and it won't harm the bluing.
