Cabelas in Buda is posted 30.06? I've never been there, but going tomorrow to pick up a rifle. I don't care to leave my carry gun in the car. Thanks.

I've been there a couple of times. I was carrying both times and can't recall seeing anything posted that would have made me think I was illegal doing so...

No it's not, you are perfectly allowed to concealed carry there. They are a bit gay though as they won't allow employees to carry at work. Even though they mentioned it would be hypocritical for such a company to not allow it's customers to exercise their rights.....right before telling us that employees are not allowed to concealed carry. Makes total sense.

Academy doesn't allow it's employees to carry either. They even told me that the pocket knife I was carrying was a violation of policy and not to do it again. Go figure.

I'd guess it's because they are targetting the general retail crowd, not overly the gun crowd. Some people would get nervous seeing a guy with a gun standing next to the basketballs, fishing poles, or dog treats.

I work the gun counter, and I'd be concealed.

It's just a stupid thing to work in, of all places, a gun store and not be armed. ;) Just think about the insanity of that. lol

I think I can top it... we can't open carry at a gun range, because it's "intimidating" to the customers. Um, you are SURROUNDED by guns, and idiots with loaded guns on the range.

God forbid the person behind the counter actually be able to defend himself against the 100 possibly psychopathic losers that want to gas themselves on the range, or not listen to range rules.
