i saw these a few days ago at rays sporting goods, i'm not surprised at all though, you can attach everything else to an AR why not a crossbow.

PSE needs to stick with standard crossbows and not try to market to the AR15 market. Looks to me like there's alot of wasted material on the unit.

I just happen to have an extra assembled lower, and since my neck problems prevent me from shooting my beloved compound bow, this is an excellent option to be able to hunt during archery season. I am sure is is worth the price but I dont know if I would be willing to part with that much money for archery equipment.

Everyone thinks that the PSE Tac 15 is overpriced, and no one has them in stock, they are special order from every dealer I've talked to. You also have to purchase special bolts for them at $90-1/2 dozen.

If you look at the top end crossbows you will see that a top of the line Tenpoint crossbow will run you around $1500,so the $1300 they want for this isn't too far out of line considering the power and speed that it has,and the ability to use your lower and whatever trigger setup you choose to have in your lower, plus the PSE unit can be taken down without a press and it will not dry fire according to the PSE promo video.

    First time..

Bow hunters are allowed an early start on deer season - does this thing count?

Per a friend of mine, this was the first year that crossbow's could be used during bow season by non handicap persons.

I wonder if you had a really really anal game warden if he could argue that you would be hunting with a rifle since the lower is technically the firearm on the AR platform.

Now, THAT would be fun in court.....

"Your honor, the "firearm" in question was incapable of discharging any type of projectile via a cartridge of any sort."

"No, sir - it was loaded, but it wasn't loaded."

"Yes sir, that's exactly what I'm asking - What is your definition of loaded?"

"Excuse me? Oh - no sir, no aspirin for that headache, but I'm sure the anal warden at the other table has something for it - he HAS to seeing as where his head usually is...."
