My back is friggin' killing me. I made it 7 months without getting cracked by a pro, but it's definitely time to get it done. Any help out there, guys and gals?

FWIW, it's nothing exotic. I've got a messed-up disc pushing on nerves in my lower back (sciatica, yay) and it's robbed me of sleep this weekend.

Thanks in advance, and till then I'll keep eating naproxen...

Don't know if your interested in a drive to Seguin but this guy has been a
big help to me and he is fair in pricing.

I don't remember the place, but the best one I've used was a guy

Dr. Kling. http://www.stxchiro.com/

Been a few years since I went to him (or any vodoo doctor).

He makes a weird sound when he adjusts your back, but he helped better than the other Chiropractor that I saw.

Thanks, I'll give 'em a call tomorrow! I know that some of the stuff that some of them sell is voodoo, but damned if they didn't do more for my back than the regular quacks were capable of!

Might be worth it. I don't want just anybody messing with my spine. I already know what it's like to be laid up for a month straight, getting maybe 3 hours of sleep a night and laying down on the floor for relief only to find that I'm incapable of getting back up off the floor again.

Back problems suck!

Sorry to hear that man. I had I believe 2 slip discs IIRC, through much of my teenage years, and that was not fun at all. I went to a chiropractor regularly for years, and now no longer really have any lower back problems. I know how much it sucks though. There was one time I was walking through the house when one of the discs slipped a bit and pinched a nerve, and I instantaneously collapsed on the floor and had to crawl with my arms back into bed. ;) Anyways, there is a lot of good chiropractors can do. One of the things they used on me, which seemed to help a lot, was some sort of electrodes attached to various points on my back around the problem areas and they'd provide some electrical/massaging type of stimulus for 10-20 minutes each visit.
