If some thing happens to you, who inherits your gun collection and items? (bleh... GETS***)

High percentage of the public do not have wills made out. I've seen probate court tear families apart. I'll be writing a will very soon. I paused for a moment when trying to decide which brother gets my small gun & ammo collection. Do you know who is getting yours? Why did you choose him or her?

I chose my second oldest bro. He is just getting into the scene and is excited about the learning process, responsibility, safety, and recreation. He shows the most interest so I am confident he will appreciate them as well as hold on to them.

I am willing to take responsibility for any guns you guys have when you die. In fact, it would be an honor. :)

I am taking mine with me also. they are going to dig a hole 19 ft x9 ft
and they will lower me and my pickup into the hole as I sit behind
the wheel, guns next to me and the CD player blasts out
Desert Skys by Marshall Tucker band. Then they will seal the whole
    shebang in concrete.

Or my oldest daughter can have them to fight on when the SHTF
    if i'am not around.

Wife will dole them out to the kids. But I'm keeping a few with me as I plan to return as a zombie and know what some of you guys are packing.

I will let the family decide on all but one. It will go to my cousin (not the one I hang out with all the time he can get his own damn guns! LOL) He is the youngest with the last name that is directly family. The gun is an old single shot 20 ga that my grandpa engraved for my grandma when they were first married and it will go to him, the rest can be decided later.

SALUDA, S.C. - It's something you don't hear about every day, a man's dying wish to be buried in his car. Lonnie Holloway was laid to rest at the age of 90 in his 1973 Pontiac Catalina on Tuesday.

“He believed in certain things and what he believed in he's going to carry it out,” said his sister Sallie Harris.
Lonnie Holloway made sure his wishes were granted up until the end.
“It's something he always wanted to do. But I didn't like it,” said Harris.
Three years ago, Holloway broke the news about his funeral plans to Harris.
"He told me about it and I said, 'Holloway, don't make me ashamed.' He said, 'make you ashamed of what?' And I said, 'being buried in a car.' He said, 'if that's going to make you ashamed, you're going to be ashamed',” said Harris.
It wasn't just any car. It was a green 1973 Pontiac Catalina.
“That was his retirement gift to himself,” said Holloway's cousin Johnny McCloud.
“He loved that car. I didn't like him driving it, because he couldn't half drive,” said Harris.
Holloway didn't just request to be buried sitting in the driver seat of his favorite car. He also wanted something else.
"He said his guns might get in the wrong hands and kill someone. So he wanted his guns to go into the grave with him,” said McCloud.
The news of Holloway's unique burial request didn't just attract our cameras, but also curious spectators who said they had to see it to believe it.
“I wanted to take a picture of it. This is history in Saluda,” said Orlander Williams.
“I just think it's a show. But it's not my wish,” said Harris.
It's a wish the Holloway family carried out for a man they will love, miss and always remember.
Lonnie Holloway was buried next to his wife Alice who died two years ago.
There is no law in South Carolina against being buried in a car. The church sealed the grave site up with cement to prevent anyone from stealing the guns or the car.

    who gets em

now this is a great topic. Like most it would be easy to just name who gets what weapon. I recently thought about giving my guns to these people before I leave here. I thought about letting each have a pick and keep going around till they are all gone, I might keep an ar and sks for the fun of it but I find myself shooting my remington mod 34 single shot .22 at turtles and snakes more and more. Do we hold on to them like some hoarder chuckling to ourselves since we know many of these will never be available to the younger set. And how do we know if they truly love them for what they are not just for their value. Of course we all have that special one that will go to a namesake. good luck on your decisions and hopefully THEY will have the right to own and shoot them as we did.
