Some for me, some for trade here (I'll post in the Classifieds when it comes in, after I make sure of the condition (don't want to pawn off crap), and want to put something up), some for Armslist (where I'll likely recoup the cost of the entire purchase!). If it's green, it's for me. If it's red, it's definitely going up for sale/trade later. If it's blue, I'm not sure yet. I'm definitely going to be patient.

I'm consistently amazed by what goes for "too much" and what's still a buy at auctions.

$326.70 ($270 bid + 21% fee) - 3 boxes CCI 17HMR, 2 boxes Nosler .22-250, 8 boxes .44 spl pistol shot, 5 boxes .45 Auto pistol shot, 13 boxes .45 Colt pistol shot, 2 boxes Magtech .45 GAP. (26 boxes of shotshells alone will cover the purchase price. The 17HMR, 22.250, and 45 GAP are more than $100 of gravy, give or take.)

    26579374_1_x.jpg
$181.50 ($150 bid + 21% fee) - Over 550 rounds of Norinco boxer primed non corrosive brass cased reloadable ammunition. 11 boxes of 50 ea, and one partial. (Not sure... I may take a box or two to the range for conversation and sell the rest. I've found closed sales on this stuff at $20/box, so I may try that or more on Armslist, so at best a few good conversations and break even.)

    26579378_1_x.jpg
$205.70 ($170 bid + 21% fee) - Mixed lot of various ammunition in vintage mil-spec packaging - 14 boxes. Calibers include 4 boxes of .30-06, 1 box of .30 carbine, 2 boxes of 9mm, 5 boxes of .45 ACP, 1 box of 7mm Mauser, and 1 box WWII 8mm Mauser. all in very good condition, dome boxes remaining sealed. WWII era through 1980's manufacture. (14 boxes total. I can use the pistol ammo (not that I will) and might have a reason to buy a few more Mausers now or the CMP Garand I've been looking at...).

    26579392_1_x.jpg
$169.40 ($140 bid + 21% fee) - 180 ROUNDS 7.62X51 AMMUNITION IN STRIPPERS 60 Rds. Lake City head stamp, 60 Rds. IVI, 60 Rds. Winchester (Mine, and I want the bandoleers as much as anything since they're pre-packed. A little more expensive than most of my .308, but I've got enough this averages out fine).

I'm consistently surprised by what's out there... and watching some of the old rifles and WWII memorabilia go tonight, surprised at the prices things command.

I watched a standard M91/30 Mosin go for $350 the other night! Craaaazy high prices.

Where would you go to look for an online auction that sells this kind of stuff? I wouldn't mind tryin to get into something like that this summer.

I browse the listings at live auctioneer frequently. A search for FFL finds listings where they mention needing a transfer. Otherwise, pistol, rifle and handgun are good starters.

There's also an auction house near me in austin.
