I got one. It is accurate as hell. I do wish it had a magazine. The barrel is also steel so you need to keep an eye out for rust. Overall-Awsome.

I do not have one and I used to dream about a nice .50. Nowadays I am seeing the benefits of having a .338 or similar big bore. True, it is not as big and burly as the .50 but it is much less likely to get banned and probably more affordable.
I liked the Ar-30. I am into pistols now so a good rifle is low on my list but the guys I know who have .50 BMG rifles really love them.

I definitely owe an apology here...certainly did not mean to hi-jack your post. New guy here not familiar with the proper etiquet (sp?....at least I'm familiar with the word since my gf constantly reminds me!) I wish I could have gotten a Barrett but cost/availability did me in. I am happy I was able to get a .50 in spite of the current "administration" but, hopefully, things will get back to normal and builders will be able to satisfy a market for AR-type uppers in AR's in a reasonable amount of time.

Barrett's rule as far as I'm concerned.....hope we can make "noise" together someday!

    DFW area.....Wylie.
FYI - I was in Little Rock, AR last week. There is a shop called Shooters Gallery or Don's Weapons that had a Barret .50 (model 99) for like $3500. They had it sitting on the floor, I didn't notice if it was new or used.
