He was shot during a robbery...not sure who was doing the robbing.
Years ago, a friend died in a car accident. The guy riding with him suffered a bad concussion, but got out of the car and stumbled to a nearby restaurant to get help. When he walked in, he was so confused he forgot why he was there or how he got there. They offered him some coffee, and that's where the cops eventually found him - sitting at the counter drinking coffee and eating a piece of pie. Shock can do strange things to you.
